A business school graduate with a diploma in international business development from the Wharton Business School, Douglas is responsible for the day to day running of Ruffena Property Partners and specifically deal sourcing and validation plus investor relations. He brings with him over 30 years experience in blue chip business management with a focus on strategy and marketing gained across a variety of sectors.

After his first degree, Robin went to Cranfield School of Management before starting in business, where he led growth in a number of businesses at a senior level, principally in technology and media including two he founded. He is today a highly versatile, commercially experienced strategy and investment professional with international experience. His clarity as founding entrepreneur, investor and professional advisor is invaluable in advising others and was instrumental in founding Ruffena Capital.
Xavier was joint founder, shareholder and main board Director of Capital & Regional PLC, a commercial property investment and development company which listed in 1986 and is a fully listed PLC today, managing over £1billion in assets. Xavier also joint founded a commercial publishing and poster advertising company, Primesight, which became a listed PLC and was later sold to Scottish Media Group and continues to trade today.
As an active and experienced entrepreneur and property investor, Xavier heads up our newly formed property team and is already looking at a number of interesting commercial and residential property opportunities for Ruffena investors.
Matt is a qualified chartered accountant who has spent the majority of his career advising on private equity acquisitions. Previously a partner at KPMG, he is now a non executive director and audit committee chair of a listed property back debt trust, and a director of other PE backed investments, as well as an ongoing advisor to PE firms and start up businesses. Matt has a bachelors degree in Economics and Finance from Auckland University and an MBA from Manchester Business School. He qualified as a chartered accountant with Arthur Andersen in New Zealand.
Chris has over five decades of Real Estate, Fund Management and Corporate Finance experience.
Since 2010, he has served as Chairman of Places for People, one of the UK's largest property management, development, regeneration and leisure companies. In this role, Chris oversees £4.9 billion of assets and over 11,600 employees.
He is currently Chairman of London & Newcastle, Apex Airspace Development, NCL Technology Ventures Limited, Bayham Investments Limited, Deskfair, Estates & Infrastructure Exchange, Anthony Green & Spencer and Tuffbau, and chairs the advisory boards for Market Asset Management and Shetland Space Centre. Chris is also Chairman of SOHO a £400 million REIT on the main list of LSE.
During his career Chris has been at the helm of several successful residential property, retirement care, infrastructure, agriculture and environmental technology companies and both listed and private companies in London, Europe and the US and has advised clients on a number of financial transactions in Asia.
Through his family business, Centaurea, Chris is also a seed investor in a number of small to medium sized enterprises.
Currently a director at Recore, Richard has an unrivalled background in the Commercial sector having had responsibility for investment and asset management at both London and Regional, and Land Securities.
Richard provides guidance and assessment of opportunities for Ruffena and provides asset management services to clients where required.
David’s career has been in private sector consultancy, working on housing, regeneration and infrastructure schemes, being a formative part of a planning and compulsory purchase team and as Partner at Donaldsons, heading a CPO and Regeneration Team. Latterly he was a Director in Retail Development at DTZ, before forming his own consultancy, Town Centre Regeneration Ltd, in 2009. He has advised developers, occupiers and local authorities on viability, planning and site assembly, including the use of Compulsory Purchase, for major infrastructure, employment, residential and mixed-use retail led schemes.
David provides Ruffena Property with analysis of development proposals and schemes based on his in-depth experience in working with developers and local authorities delivering complex and mixed-use schemes of local, regional and national significance.
